Where can parents wait during class?

Parents may accompany their children into the gym at the start of class and during the class they may wait in the seated entrance hall. Only gymnasts and coaches are allowed on the gym floor, please ensure all other children in your care (excluding gymnasts) are fully supervised and kept off the gym floor at all times. Parents will be invited to a class display during the year where they will be able to see their gymnast performing in a mini-display.

Should we arrive early?

Children should arrive at class about 10 minutes early so that they do not miss the very important warm-up. Children may not be dropped off early to watch the other classes unattended. Please ensure you are punctual collecting your child as coaches will be teaching the next class.

Can we speak to our child’s coach?

Our coaches are more than happy to speak to parents, however they also need to maximize coaching time with their gymnasts, if you wish to speak to us please do so at the end of the class.

If your gymnast is expected to be away for more than 2 weeks at a time please inform their coach or the head coach on the day.

What can I do if my child finds their class too easy?

Our classes are designed so that total beginners can progress up into more advanced groups, then into a Sunday. Pre-Squad group, then onto either the Artistic or Display Squad. They should be constantly challenged learning new skills and progressing through our Olympian Awards.

If your child finds their class too easy just speak to the Head coach who will sort out a more suitable group.

My child really wants to improve, is there anything they can practice at home?

A little practice at home every day can really help a child progress. Ask your child’s coach for conditioning exercises they can do. They can also practice the skills on our Olympian Progression Awards.
